Being the Mum
Of a strong little girl,
Can be just the toughest
Of jobs in the world.

Girls are so bright
They're ever so clever,
They'll push you right to
The end of your tether.

You have to stay strong
Though hard that may be,
An impossible task
To keep your sanity.

You must stick to your guns
And keep boundaries firm,
She'll push back at you
And she'll wriggle and squirm.

And then one fine day soon
You'll see her turn a corner,
She'll know just where she stands
Because you will be stronger.

Her tantrums will lessen
Because now she will know,
That it's Mum and not daughter
That's running the show.

In the meantime stick with it
Don't beat yourself up,
You're a brilliant Mum
To that girl growing up.

Parenting's hard on this path
That you've chosen,
So feet up, enjoy
The 100th showing of Frozen!
